Job summary

ProAmpac Holdings, Inc. seeks a Bag Machine Operator in Portland, OR to support continuous manufacturing on multiple shifts. The role requires 2+ years of production experience, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork.

You will set up, operate, and monitor bag machines, troubleshoot issues, document activities, and collaborate with a fast-paced team in a warehouse environment. Training is provided on varied shifts.

Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow production specs.
• Attention to safety, quality, and documentation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Completes bag machine setup for production runs, loads materials, adjusts settings, and calibrates equipment.
• Monitors the production process and inspects materials to ensure quality and quotas are met.
• Verifies and tracks materials for inventory and work in progress.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance.
• Completes all required documentation for internal/external use.

Position Type: Fulltime, Hourly

Pay: $23.00

Schedule – varies – Training is conducted during our 06:00am to 02:00pm shift

06:00am to 02:00pm; 02:00pm to 10:00pm: 10:00pm to 06:00am and 24/7 Shifts 06:00am to 06:00pm and 06:00pm to 06:00am include every other weekend.

What You’ll Do

As a bag machine operator: Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

*Completes bag machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.

*Monitors the production process, inspects and test materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards an production quotas are met.

*Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.

*Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.

*Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.

Qualifications

*2+ years of manufacturing or production experience preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

*Work primarily in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

*Exposure to moving machinery, production noise, and varying temperatures may occur

*Required PPE includes hearing protection, steel/composite shoes, eye protection, hair/beard nets.

*Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle materials or operate equipment

*Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
