Job summary

Allied Manufacturing in Harvey, IL is seeking an Operator Assistant for the 2nd shift. The role involves loading/unloading products, operating finishing equipment, and ensuring tubing quality and quantity. The candidate will join a team reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements include at least 2 years in industrial manufacturing and the ability to read printed work instructions. The position runs 3pm–11pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays.

Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for general labor employees (3pm - 11pm), M-F, some Saturdays to be based out of Harvey, IL approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will responsible for stacking and bundling product.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a industrial manufacturing environment . Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:

• Load/unload finished and WIP product.
• Operate end finishing equipment.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in industrial manufacturing
• Ability to operate a handheld scanner and utilize a variety of printed work instructions as part of daily work assignment.
• Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to pass the post offer employment process with drug screen

Within 3 months, you'll:

• Show progress and/or complete job specific training
• Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations
