West Fraser's Mansfield Sawmill in Mansfield, AR is seeking an entry-level Mill Operator trainee. The role offers on-the-job training and opportunities to advance into more skilled positions while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include operating machinery and related equipment, meeting quality specs, and following safety policies. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass background, drug screen, and physical exams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform the essential functions including walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders and working in elevated or tight spaces.
• Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical.

Our Machine Operator Trainee/Utility position is an entry level role with the expectation that self-motivated individuals will advance into progressively skilled positions.

What you will do:

• Successful applicants may be trained to function in a variety of positions, including cleanup and operating machinery, forklifts or other equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Possess or have demonstrated the capability to operate machine center at assigned area and/or related equipment efficiently at productive rates without assistance.
• Possess or have demonstrated the capability to know and meet all quality specifications for assigned area and/or related equipment.
• Supporting our culture of safety by adhering to mill safety policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What you need to be successful:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position which includes walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending and lifting-up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, work in elevated work areas and tight close spaces.
