Nucor Corporation seeks an Operator 5 to safely operate and set up roll forming lines, read drawings, and use precision measuring tools. The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies and cross-training opportunities within the Texas NBG facilities.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and have a HS diploma or GED. Experience with roll forming operations and crane/forklift certification are preferred.

• Safely operate and set up equipment along the roll forming lines.
• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Use measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer, squares, etc.).
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklift and other equipment as needed.
• Follow department policies on production, inventory, quality and training.
• Perform tasks as directed by line Supervisor and/or Group Leader.

Responsibilities for the Operator 5 include but are not limited to:

• Safely operate and setup multiple pieces of equipment throughout the roll forming lines to effectively fill in positions as needed.
• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Understand and execute departmental policies concerning production, inventory, quality, and training.
• Be able to use measuring equipment (tape measure, micrometer, squares, etc.)
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklift and other equipment as needed.
• Perform tasks as directed by line Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience or cross training of NBG Rollforming operations and equipment.
• Certified Crane and Forklift Operator
