Job summary

Nucor Corporation is seeking a 3rd Shift Continental Structural Utility to operate overhead cranes and support structural line processes. The role requires reading shop drawings and following line instructions to meet production needs.

You'll learn multiple line positions and ensure safe, compliant work practices while aligning with order processing and supervisor directions. Texas-based facility with strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required for minimum qualification.
• Basic understanding of metal building fabrication processes is preferred.
• Prefer certifications for overhead cranes listed in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Learn and perform structural line positions including paint line and tack-up.
• Read and interpret shop drawings to follow orders.
• Perform tasks directed by Line Supervisor and Line Group Leader.
• Understand order processing including shop releases and run orders.

Basic Job Functions:

• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
• Learn various structural line positions including but not limited to: paint line, plate shag, tack-up, seamer, and iron worker.
• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader.
• Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders)

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess understanding of metal building systems fabrication.
• 25T, 7.5T, Flip-Rite, and Hot Roll Crane Certifications.
