Job Description

Job Title: Inventory Cycle Counter

Overview: The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining high inventory accuracy and integrity through cycle counts, recounts, and stock management within the department.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform cycle counts in bulk and pick aisles to support KDG objectives.
  2. Research and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly to support operational efficiency.
  3. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's inventory accounting system and related paperwork.
  4. Verify item, lot, and quantity counts as necessary.
  5. Maintain organized and accessible distribution documentation in accordance with quality procedures.
  6. Participate in receipt audits and reconciliations.
  7. Develop knowledge of other roles to assist during urgent situations, breaks, absences, or vacations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain equipment certifications required.
  • Proficiency in operating MHE and using Voice/RF scanners.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment.
  • Ability to interpret distribution documents.
  • Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • General knowledge of distribution operations.
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong initiative and results-driven attitude.

Physical Demands: The role requires regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, twisting, lifting (over 50 lbs in some areas), and repetitive motions of hands and wrists. Vision must be corrected to 20/40, and hearing sufficient for safe operation of MHE. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment: The environment is moderately to loudly noisy, with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, potential temperature variations, fumes, and airborne particles. Occasional exposure to precarious situations is possible.
