Qualifications

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Class 3 Fork Lift and Handcart certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team meetings and train Level 1 and 2 Machine Operators.
  • Perform advanced preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Conduct product quality control checks on the Machine.

POSITION TITLE: Operator 3, Machine Retail

LOCATION: St. Albans, VT

The Operator 3, Machine position is responsible for the process flow of materials and product throughout the facility.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform the duties of a Level 2, Machine Operator
  • Lead team in meetings and projects
  • Train Level 1 and 2 Machine Operators
  • Identify improvements per KPI’s
  • Communicate through Team Boards and with leadership team
  • Perform Machine setup
  • Perform advanced preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
  • Conduct product quality control checks on the Machine
  • Operate multiple packaging Machines, or molding machines
  • Enter performance confirmations and shift information into SAP
  • Provide Break Coverage
  • Provide PTO Coverage
  • Review and Confirm Shift Paperwork
  • Fully trained in Pull Sheet process

About you:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Mechanical ability/aptitude, a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Math Skills
  • Computer skills; Excel and SAP, required
  • Minimum three (3) years manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, preferred
  • Understand manufacturing process flow
  • Trained in Quality/Sensory, preferred
  • Trained in Chocolate tempering, preferred
  • Class 3 Fork Lift and Handcart certification, required
  • Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time
  • Bend, squat, stretch, reach; frequently
  • Ability to climb stairs, often
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs, often
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility
  • Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
