Position: Operator 3, Machine Liquid - Utility

Shift hours: Thursday 1:00am - 7:15am; Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7:00pm - 7:15am

Shift differential: 20% hourly rate

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform duties as Operator 2, Machine Liquid – Mixer & Refiner
  • Perform duties as Operator 3, Machine Liquid – Coating
  • Adjust pre-refiner/refiner and conch temperatures and product fineness according to recipe and customer specifications
  • Manually add raw materials like powders, fats, flavors, and emulsifiers as per recipes
  • Verify viscosity of finished products and make adjustments as needed
  • Enter recipe data according to production schedule
  • Record raw material incoming numbers on production sheets
  • Enter performance confirmations and shift information into SAP
  • Pump product from conches to finished/vertical tanks as scheduled
  • Conduct basic and preventative maintenance, report improvements
  • Sample finished products
  • Request and transfer raw materials from storage silo to daily bin
  • Lead small team projects
  • Provide break coverage and PTO coverage
  • Train Level 2 and Level 3 Machine Operators

About you:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Leadership ability to guide small teams through soft skills such as delegation, teamwork, problem-solving
  • Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Minimum two (2) years food manufacturing experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Training in Quality/Sensory and Chocolate Manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, squatting, stretching, reaching
  • Climb stairs regularly
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs frequently
  • Comfort working at heights
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and temperatures
  • Noise levels may exceed 85 decibels
