AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Sorting Operator located in Crossville, TN, reporting to the Sorting Department Supervisor.

Job Duties

1. Grade tile and shading tile.
2. Complete 5S, TPM, and all necessary paperwork.
3. Clean the line.
4. Operate the unloader (BNT); assist LGVs into bays; reset alarms and BNT.
5. Coordinate with the Kiln Department on color changes, set up next color, document on boards and clipboards, and display color samples.
6. Move to the next full platform when one empties.
7. Reset hoppers, bust tile down, and replace full hoppers with empties.
8. Place boxes on the lines.
9. Perform daily car counts for tile production per color.
10. Set up lines based on incoming materials from S&S or Kiln Departments.
11. Maintain a clean and orderly viewing room.
12. Complete size changes.
13. Report issues to the next shift.
14. Dispose of cardboard and operate the bailer.
15. Operate forklift and floor jack.
16. Participate in Kaizen for continuous improvement.
17. Use Gemba board for communication.
18. Assist other departments as needed.
19. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
20. Follow safety guidelines and PPE protocols.
21. Adhere to company policies and maintain housekeeping standards.
22. Cross-train within the department for coverage of ware handler and mechanic roles.
23. Perform additional duties as assigned.
