Job summary

Brakebush Brothers, Inc in Wells, MN is seeking an Operator for the 2nd shift to perform machine setup and operate according to specifications and safety regulations. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is integral to keeping production on schedule.

The operator must stand for long periods, follow SQF safety guidelines, and assist the line with packing, boxing, and material handling as needed. Wage is $24.43/hr and the role is nonexempt.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Machine set up and take down including threading machines and adjusting as needed.
• Bagging up the equipment at the end of the night.
• Keep rolls of plastic ready to avoid production delays.
• Know where plastic rolls are kept and the programs used for different products.
• Assist the line as needed (boxing, repacking, stacking skids, packing when ahead/behind).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following SQF and safety guidelines.
• Punch in on SAP for the assigned job and adapt to different lines as required.
• Tolerate wide variations in environment (temperature, humidity, flour).
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Machine set up and operation in accordance with specifications and safety regulations.

JOB DUTIES:

• Machine set up and take down which includes: threading of machines, making any adjustments needed and bagging up the equipment at the end of the night.
• Keeping rolls of plastic ready to go to avoid production delays causing line down time.
• Know where rolls of plastic are kept, and the different programs used for running our various products.
• Will help assist the line in any way, shape or form: i.e., boxing keels, helping repack boxes, helping stack skids when transporter is gone to freezer and helping pack when packers fall behind.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following SQF and all Safety guidelines.
• Help in other areas when not needed in posted position, punching in on SAP for what job is being performed.
• Able to tolerate wide variations in environment (temperature, humidity, flour, etc.)
• Some duties will differ from line to line. Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.
