Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Covington, GA is seeking a warehouse associate to operate forklifts and related equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will move materials, follow SOPs, and help maintain accurate records while adhering to safety guidelines.

Requirements include 2+ years of warehouse experience, basic English literacy, and the ability to perform simple math. Education is not required, but a high school diploma is preferred; training will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills that coworkers and supervisor can understand.

Responsibilities

• Uses forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials within a plant, office or warehouse.
• Maintains records and follows SOPs or scientific methods.
• Develops skills in basic tasks within one skill area and performs routine tasks with prescribed steps.
• Works under general to limited supervision.

Experience

• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
• Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.

Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.

Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
