Thomson Reuters is seeking a #2 Operator in Prepress for the 3rd shift in Eagan, MN. You will lead, train, and direct a crew while ensuring high-quality prepress output and efficient setup and operation of equipment.

You must have a high school diploma or higher; Lean/CI experience and strong communication across shifts are highly valued. This role includes a 3rd shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher required; vocational degree preferred.
• Ability to read and explain safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement methods.
• Strong communication across shifts and departments; proven trainer capability.
• Able to read measurements with rulers and perform basic metrology.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, crouching, bending tasks.

#2 Operator in Prepress - 3rd shift

As a #2 Press Operator, you will be responsible for working as a Mid-Level Operator on our Core Print Solutions team. In this role you will provide leadership, work direction, and train/develop the skills of the crew to consistently optimize overall performance.

Hours of Work - Eagan, Minnesota

• 3rd Shift 10:30p - 6:30a
• Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a #2 Operator in Prepress, you will:

• Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements
• Performing or delegating set-up tasks
• Monitoring the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality product
• Performing moderately complex trouble-shooting related to product or equipment
• Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off
• Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventive maintenance; involving Maintenance as needed
• Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files
• Work results are not typically checked by others

About You:

You're a fit for the role of #2 Operator in Prepress if you have the following required qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher. Candidates with a vocational/technical degree are strongly preferred
• Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
• Experience with Lean and continuous improvement
• Good communication skills including experience sharing information across shifts and departments
• Proven success as a trainer
• Competence with rulers and measurement
• Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder as well as push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Regularly standing walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and kneeling

Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug test, as applicable for the role.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation hourly range for this role is $21 USD - $39 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
