Job summary

The Greenbrier Companies in Marmaduke, AR, is seeking an experienced manufacturing operator to run large presses, plasma machines, and material handling equipment. You will monitor equipment, maintain safety standards, and work with forklift and cranes to move railcar parts.

Candidates should have 6 months of related experience, be able to read blueprints, navigate a computer, and work well in teams or alone. In-house forklift certification will be supported.

Summary

Operates advanced or more sophisticated equipment and machinery in head press shops to produce railcar parts and sub-assemblies, operates machinery to move railcar parts and sub-assemblies, operates forklift and overhead cranes to move material.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Operates advanced and sophisticated equipment including, but not limited to a 4000-ton press, CNC plasma machines, and plasma cutting torches.
  • Operates forklifts and overhead cranes of various sizes for both in order to move rail car parts.
  • Ensures equipment is maintained and operating properly before beginning work.
  • Ensures safety and housekeeping standards are met maintained.
