Job summary

A leading North American baking company located in Alsip, Illinois, is seeking a Quality Assurance Monitor for its packaging line. This role involves monitoring product quality, ensuring the packaging equipment runs efficiently, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate has experience in food manufacturing and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20-$21, working the 2nd shift from 3:45pm to 2:15am.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality of product prior to packaging.
• Report any product anomalies or issues to Lead.
• Remove product from line that is out of specification.
• Discard scrap product properly.
• Monitor packaging equipment and report issues.
• Assist with all packaging rework.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors quality of product prior to packaging.


• Reports any product anomalies or issues, to Lead.


• Removes product from line that is out of specification.


• Discards scrap product properly by separating clam shells from finished product into appropriate trash bins.


• Monitors packaging equipment making sure it is running properly and at accurate speeds. Reports line operating issues to Lead/Supervisor for immediate repair.


• Discards scrap product properly by separating clam shells from finished product into appropriate trash bins.


• Assists with all packaging re work.


• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED is required


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


• One year related experience and/or training


• Experience in food manufacturing is preferred

Hours: 3:45pm-2:15am

Hourly Rate: $20-$21 per hour
