Job summary

SMC Ltd in Amery, Wisconsin is looking for candidates to perform mold press operations, inspect products, and package items per specifications. Shifts available are 12 hours long, with A/C Crew from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and B/D Crew from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team. A high school diploma is preferred, and candidates must pass a background check and drug test.

Job description

Position Scope and Purpose

To produce, inspect and package product per supplied specifications and instructions. Perform mold press operations to support production floor. Shifts available are 12 hour shifts: A/C Crew 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, B/D Crew 6:00 pm - 6:00 am.

Key Accountabilities / Essential Functions

• Perform mold press operations to support production floor.
• Responsible for reading, understanding and following work instructions.
• Inspect parts and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor and/or QA and Technical staff.
• Regular attendance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Other Position Duties

• Maintain efficiency, housekeeping, safety and GMP's.
• Monitor machinery/equipment operation to detect problems.
• Measure, weigh or count materials and product.
• Other duties as assigned.

• The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to understand, speak and read English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing.
