Job summary

Vicor Corporation is seeking 2nd shift Operators in Andover, MA to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will perform assembly and test tasks on an automated VI Chip PCB line and operate equipment to meet production targets while monitoring quality and downtime.

Cross-training into multiple centers (SMD, Underfill, Transformer, Mold, Laser Mark, Cut) is required, with emphasis on safety, cost control, and clear communication. Excellent teamwork and computer literacy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test on automated VI Chip PCB line.

• Cross-train into 4+ package assembly work centers (SMD, Underfill, Transformer, Mold, Laser Mark, etc).
• Perform all responsibilities within quality, safety and cost guidelines.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Perform any additional tasks as requested or directed.

Job Description

• Working from written or verbal instructions, perform assembly and test related tasks on automated VI Chip PCB Assembly line.
• Operate work center equipment to achieve standard production rates, report on equipment downtime or malfunction and monitor work center output for conformance to specification.
• Utilize microscopes, hand tools, measurement and test equipment to perform daily tasks.
• Cross-train and certify in a minimum of four package assembly work centers including SMD, Underfill, Transformer Assembly, Mold, Laser Mark, Cut, J-Lead or Test.
• Perform all responsibilities within the company’s guidelines of quality, safety and cost.
• Work with a minimum of direct supervision.
• Perform any additional tasks as requested or directed.

• Excellent communication and team work skills.
• Computer Literacy.

Compensation Data

$18.00/hour. Rates are higher based upon experience.

12.5% Shift Differential for working 2nd Shift.
