Job summary

IPG is seeking a Film Line Operator- Blown in the Production department to safely control production equipment and ensure smooth line operation. This hourly graveyard shift is rotating, and the operator will follow specifications to produce rolls within tolerance while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma, the ability to follow directions, work well in a team, and quickly learn production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates production machinery per specifications.

• Maintains logs of rolls produced and records of rejected/discarded rolls.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs adjustments.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Description

Title: Film Line Operator- Blown
Department: Production
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager
Status: Hourly Graveyard, Rotating
Position Purpose: The Film Line Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.

Principle Accountabilities

• Operates production machinery in accordance with specifications.
• Produces the required quantity of rolls within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of rolls produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded rolls.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills And Experience

• High School Diploma
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
