Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial/manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Accurately sort products of various sizes and series.

Entry Level, starting at $21.00 per hour

Step Salary Program

After 6 months of employment: $21.50/hour. After 12 months of employment: $22.00/hour.

Job Description

PWT is a manufacturer of Engineered Wood Products (EWP). You will be an integral member of the team in operating machinery, manually feeding wood to the line, grading wood for quality, and packaging units all the while maintaining a safe and effective work environment. Upon completion of initial training, successful candidates will have opportunities to grow into machine operator roles.

Essential Functions
  • Provide relief in operations jobs for breaks, vacations, and other absences.
  • Safely operate equipment and maintain good housekeeping (general and equipment) of assigned areas.
  • Accurately sort product (various sizes and series).
  • Actively participate in EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) programs.
  • Participate in improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Willing to be cross trained to perform various operations positions

Work Environment

Indoors and outdoors; Inclement weather (heat temperature- High temps between 90-100+ degrees.

Depends on time of year, rain and wind

Dust, Noise- Decibels can average around 90 dBA and reach peaks up to 115 dBA

Chemicals- Spray paint, ink, resin, and resin additives

Likely to involve shift work

Physical Demands

Constantly- Standing, walking, reaching, pushing or pulling, repetitive motion- hand/wrist. Lift and carry 1-50 lbs

Frequently- Climbing (stairs/ladders)

Occasionally-Bending/crouching, sitting, twisting and repetitive motion- hand/wrist

Required Education And Experience

GED/ Highschool diploma or Equivalent required

Manufacturing Experience Required

2 years+ of Industrial Experience preferred

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

Must be authorized to work in the US.
