Job summary

Metacycle in Prairie Grove, AR seeks an Injection Molding Operator to support production with safe, reliable fabrication of parts. You will read blueprints and the MIM book, verify molds, and run machines to ensure defect-free components.

Role requires attention to detail, ability to multitask, and teamwork with QA and maintenance. Prior plastics or factory experience is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic injection molding and assembly machines.
• Ensure molds and equipment are correctly set up and functioning.
• Process molded components and read work instructions from the MIM book.
• Inspect parts for defects and use gauges for quality checks.
• Pack products and complete required paperwork on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report issues promptly.

Job Location: Prairie Grove - Prairie Grove, AR 72753

Position Type: Full Time

Job Shift: Any

Supports production and delivery schedule by offering consistent, accurate and reliable fabrication of injection molded parts according to cycle time. This is achieved by reviewing associated documentation prior to starting a job, periodically verifying parts to confirm they are defect free, collaborating with Quality Assurance personnel, and making adjustments to machine as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate various plastic injection molding & assembly machines
• Ensure mold and equipment is set up correctly and functioning properly
• Process the components that are being molded
• Read & understand the MIM book (Master Information Manual) for the work instructions and quality requirements
• Process the parts which may include removing the gate & trimming flash using gate cutters and/or a trimming knife along with other required tasks
• Inspect the part closely to identify and segregate cosmetic defects, ensuring it meets the quality requirements
• Use gauges and measuring equipment as required
• Assembling the components as required
• Packing the product as required
• Run one or more machines as required
• Complete all required paperwork timely and completely
• Maintain an organized and clean work area throughout the shift ensuring a safe environment
• Report all safety, quality & machine issues to supervision in a timely manner
• Follow all procedures, rules and work duties in a safe manner
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Perform other duties as required
