Job summary

Sotera Health, a leading global provider of sterilization services, is seeking an Operator for its Sterigenics facility in the United States. The role focuses on monitoring sterilization systems, adjusting controls, and ensuring product safety while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include documenting readings, communicating issues to supervisors, and assisting with maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6–12 months in a sterilization environment preferred.
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Able to lift 50 lb and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system: pressure, temperature, and humidity on charts or displays.
  • Turn valves and adjust controls for safe equipment operation.
  • Observe sterilizers and auxiliaries; report malfunctions and assist repairs.
  • Document and record process readings and report damaged product.
  • Report system problems to Maintenance or Supervisors.
  • Perform daily/weekly equipment maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Store and handle processing chemicals per procedures and laws.
  • Participate in plant safety committees and follow safety rules.
