Job summary

Nutrien is hiring a plant operations role in Kennewick, WA to perform railcar and truck loading/unloading, monitor equipment, and support startup/shutdown activities. You will work with pumps, valves, belts and tanks, following safety procedures and SOPs, with a focus on reliable operations.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be comfortable using computers, possess basic mechanical and process troubleshooting skills, and commit to a safety‑conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform railcar and truck loading and offloading, startup, shutdown, and general operation of pumps, screws, belts, tanks, valves, and other process equipment
• Conduct regular operational rounds to monitor equipment health
• Perform some minor maintenance activities
• Monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
• Assist with startup, shut down, and operation of processes and equipment from a field role
• Respond to and appropriately addresses process and equipment upsets
• Identify possible or current operating problems and recommend action to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality, or mechanical operation
• Safely handle of dry products, nitric acid and liquid fertilizer while loading rail cars and trucks
• Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping duties
