Vaulted is seeking an Operator to manage incoming organic waste and operate processing machinery at our facility. You will monitor equipment, ensure safety protocols, and verify material safety to prevent contamination.
The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working evenings and weekends, and standing outdoors in varying conditions as needed to support our carbon removal mission.
Vaulted is a waste management company that removes carbon. We take organic waste that can pollute our environment above ground and safely inject it ultra deep underground—permanently removing carbon from the atmosphere while protecting local land, air, and water. Vaulted is based in Houston, San Francisco, and Kansas.
With a growing team of 70+ people across the country, Vaulted signed the second largest carbon removal offtake ever with Microsoft in July 2025 and is rapidly expanding to new sites.
Vaulted's proprietary technology builds on decades of expertise to deliver safe, durable carbon and waste management solutions now, at scale.
As an operator at Vaulted, you will be responsible for managing incoming truckloads of organic waste sources and processing this material with our machinery. You will operate, monitor, and maintain our equipment to facilitate the processing of the organic waste received onsite. You will strictly comply with the facility’s safety protocols and determine the safety of incoming material to ensure it does not contain inappropriate material. Ultimately, your work as a Vaulted Operator will help to slow climate change by sequestering organic waste that removes harmful Green House Gases (GHGs) from the atmosphere that would otherwise pollute the environment and local communities.
This position requires roughly 45 hours of work per week with flexibility across all 7 days of the week. Candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed.
