Job summary

WILBERT INC is seeking an entry-level general labor/assembler to join the production line. You will perform routine assembly tasks, inspect parts for quality, and help keep the area organized and safe.

Typical duties include operating presses, assembling plastic components, labeling finished parts, and assisting with basic maintenance and cleaning. No advanced experience required, on-site work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work well with others with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools and related machines beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned press/machine(s) safely and efficiently.
• Assemble plastic products at a pace consistent with the machinery.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Pack and prepare finished parts with appropriate labels.
• Provide suggestions for continuous improvement of production processes.
• Observe safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly.

Assembles minor products or components with a small number of details within routine and highly repetitive assembly operations. Typically works at a workbench or on a conveyer line. Common tasks include checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, or trimming either manually or by machine. Performs basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, and cleaning. May perform miscellaneous jobs such as moving assemblies/machines or cleaning floors. Typical has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision. Typical job titles include: General Labor, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer, Assembler and Line Operator.

ANY DOCUMENTAION, TRACKING, METRIC REQUIREMENTS?

Perform a variety of routine duties related to the molding/forming, inspecting, packaging and assembly of components in accordance with specified customer requirements.

• Operate assigned press/machine(s) safely and efficiently.
• Operates a variety of machines/equipment that may be used for assembly operations.
• Assemble plastic products at a pace consistent with the speed of the machinery or equipment being used or at a standard volume.
• Safely use fixtures and other tools needed for job task such as trimming.
• Perform visual inspections of each part in order to ensure compliance with specified requirements
• Perform required measurements to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
• Inform supervisor or quality department of any deviations and/or product specification problems.
• Pack and prepare finished assembled parts in appropriate containers and apply labels.
• Provide suggestions regarding continuous improvement activities relative to production processes and product quality.
• Observe all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. This includes but is not limited to product area, cleaning of machine and general cleaning.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Strongly Preferred
