Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 6–12 months experience in a sterilization environment preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending/lifting.
  • Must have forklift driving experience.
  • Computer skills desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors system, observing pressure, temperature and humidity on charts or screens.
  • Turns valves and adjusts controls to ensure safe operation.
  • Observes sterilizers and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and assists with repairs.
  • Documents and records process readings.
  • Reports damaged product and system problems to supervisors.
  • Participates in plant safety committees and follows safety rules.
