Job summary

ONEOK, Inc. in Frost, TX is seeking an Operator (petroleum pipeline) to support safe, reliable, and efficient receipt, storage, testing, and distribution of refined products at a high-volume terminal.

The role involves equipment operation, quality control, regulatory compliance, and strong coordination with Operations Control, Commercial, Engineering, and customers. Occasional after-hours and on-call coverage are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in terminal, refinery, pipeline, or related industrial operations preferred.
• Experience operating pumps, valves, meters, loading racks, storage tanks, filtration systems, or similar equipment preferred.
• Experience with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform terminal operations activities involving receipt, storage, transfer, loading, and unloading of refined petroleum products.
• Operate and monitor terminal equipment and facilities including tanks, pipelines, loading rack, additive injection systems, and vapor control equipment.
• Perform product quality control including sampling and testing and oversight sampling.
• Monitor inventories, tank levels, schedules, and operating conditions.
• Inspect terminal assets and identify maintenance or corrective actions.
• Provide customer support related to movements, loading/unloading, carrier activities, and terminal access.

JOB SUMMARY

The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, dayshift with some overtime and callout.

Job Profile Summary

Perform terminal operations activities supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient receipt, storage, testing, and distribution of refined petroleum products. Responsibilities include product movement operations, quality control activities, regulatory compliance, customer support, equipment monitoring, and terminal maintenance at a high-volume refined products terminal.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform terminal operations activities involving the receipt, storage, transfer, loading, and unloading of refined petroleum products.
• Operate and monitor terminal equipment and facilities including:
  • Product storage tanks
  • Pipelines
  • Refined products loading rack
  • Additive injection systems
  • Ethanol and refined products offloading
  • Vapor emissions control equipment
• Perform product quality control activities including:
  • Product sampling and testing
  • Oversight and verification sampling
• Monitor product inventories, tank levels, pipeline schedules, and terminal operating conditions.
• Perform routine inspections of terminal assets and identify equipment issues requiring maintenance or corrective action.
• Provide customer support related to product movements, loading and unloading operations, carrier activities, and terminal access requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations Control, Commercial, Engineering, Maintenance, customers, carriers, and contractors regarding terminal operations and product movements.
• Complete regulatory, operational, environmental, and quality documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Respond to abnormal operating conditions, equipment failures, product quality concerns, and emergency situations.
• Maintain terminal grounds, equipment, and facilities in accordance with company expectations and safety standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support terminal operations outside normal business hours as needed.
• Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response activities. Job duties require the employee to remain alert and respond immediately to hazardous conditions where failure to follow procedures could result in injury, environmental impact, or property damage.
• Provide operational support and coverage at other terminals within the assigned operating area during staffing shortages, training events, vacations, special projects, or increased workload demands.
• Perform temporary work assignments at other company locations as business needs require.

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Associates/Bachelors preferred

Work Experience

• Experience in terminal, refinery, pipeline, petrochemical, military, transportation, or related industrial operations preferred.
• Experience operating pumps, valves, meters, loading racks, storage tanks, filtration systems, or other industrial equipment preferred.
• Experience performing inspections, sampling, testing, quality control, and regulatory compliance activities preferred.
• Experience working safely in an industrial environment and following established operating procedures.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word preferred.
