Job summary

CDI custom curb adapters in Minnesota seeks a production fabrication operator responsible for cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal components using laser, press brake, and related tools. Safety, quality, and timeliness are essential.

You will follow blueprints, inspect parts, operate forklift if certified, and participate in maintenance. We offer benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1-year experience operating laser, press brake/turret or other metal fabrication tools.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Outstanding attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong time management skills.
• Ability to safely use measuring tools and various hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Willingness to cross-train in other production departments.
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Able to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and lift.
• Lift 50 pounds frequently and 70 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of laser, press brake/turret and other fabrication tools.
• Create quality and accurate cuts, bends, and folds per blueprints.
• Follow CDI safety rules and ensure safe equipment setup and use.
• Operate forklift if required and certified.
• Perform inspections before, during, and after build to CDI standards.
• Monitor equipment functionality and request maintenance when needed.
• Perform basic and preventative maintenance as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is the cutting, bending, fabricating, and folding of sheet metal to create components used to assemble the finished product. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the production area.

Requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Safe operation of laser, press brake/turret machine and various other tools used to complete project

Create quality and accurate cuts/bends/folds according to blueprints.

Follow and enforce all CDI safety rules and regulations. Ensure equipment is properly set-up & used in a safe manner & that all safety devices are in use.

Operate forklift, if required and certified.

Performs inspections on product before, during, and after the build following CDI’s standards.

Monitor functionality of equipment and tools and request maintenance when required.

Perform basic and preventative maintenance and repair as required.

Other duties as assigned.
