Job summary

Essity is hiring for an Operator in Dover, DE to safely operate a production line and ensure products meet fixed specifications. You will be part of a shift team, running machinery, loading materials, and maintaining quality throughout a 12-hour rotating schedule.

You will follow SOPs, document production data, and collaborate with the Team Leader and colleagues. The role requires a high school diploma and a willingness to learn, with opportunities and benefits provided by Essity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment, or no prior experience but willing to learn.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate/monitor production line according to fixed specifications and SOPs.
• Run and monitor the machine to keep production flowing.
• Adjust settings as needed using Essity Continuous Improvement Systems.
• Collaborate with Team Leader and skilled operators for guidance.
• Load raw materials or finished products for palletizing following SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Accurately complete production documentation and data logs.

Operating in safety a production line for manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. As member of the shift team is responsible for the performance of the machine. The operator Intermediate has the skills to undertake the tasks needed to operate/ sustain efficiently the equipment/process.

12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule: Two weeks on days (6:50 AM -7:00 PM) followed by two weeks on nights (6:50 PM-7:00 AM). This rotation provides built-in flexibility with every other weekend off and additional personal time throughout the schedule .

About the Role

What You Will Do

• Run and monitor your machine to keep production flowing, making adjustments as needed using Essity Continuous Improvement Systems.
• Work closely with your Team Leader and skilled operators whenever support or guidance is needed.
• Prepare and load raw materials or finished products for palletizing, following our Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain strong communication with both the previous and next shift, as well as all team members involved in running the machine.
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Support teammates with operating tasks and contribute to a smooth, efficient production flow.
• Ensure top-notch product quality by performing regular checks and rejecting or blocking items that don't meet specifications.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Accurately complete all required production documentation and data logs.

Who You Are

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry-level experience - 1-3 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or no prior experience but a willingness to learn.
