College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy is seeking a team-oriented staff member to support patient care and OR room turnover in Pinehurst, NC. The role involves assisting with patient transport, positioning, and preparing rooms under RN supervision.
Applicants should have a high school diploma and complete on-the-job training. The position emphasizes efficient task management, adherence to procedures, and maintaining supplies and cleanliness across surgical areas.
Demonstrates clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Provides patient care under the supervision and direction of an RN.
Responds quickly to requests to transport specimens or equipment.
Assist with equipment procurement, transport, and set up for room preparation.
Transports patients, specimens, and labs with appropriate documentation.
Assist with patient positioning and prepping.
Assist with OR Room turnover.
Follow established procedure for cleaning suites between procedures; start clean-up as directed by the RN to expedite room turnover and move equipment to proper location.
Perform several tasks in an organized manner.
Maintain clinical competency appropriate to the service provided, needs of age groups served, and specific competencies.
Transport patients, assist with surgical preps, assist with positioning, clean stretchers and surgical rooms according to Policies and Procedures and Standards.
Assist in housekeeping duties as deemed necessary, including cleaning surgical tables, mayo stands, overhead lights, surgical beds and mopping floors.
Monitor and maintain supplies.
Stocking/Monitoring of blankets and fluid warmers.
Stocking of wash stations and linen carts.
Removal and emptying of cardboard box containers.
Ensure basins and carts are available for all active OR rooms.
Ensure stretchers/beds with O2 are available for active OR rooms.
Help with putting instruments and supplies (ability to lift >25lbs).
Completion of high school or its equivalent.
Successful completion of on-the-job training.
