Job summary

Packer Fastener is seeking a hands-on warehouse team member in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will manage daily warehouse tasks, fill orders accurately, and assist with local deliveries while following established processes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of operations experience.
• Must be able to quickly learn software for order fulfillment.
• Must prioritize safety and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized team player who relates to employees at all levels.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain DOT Physical and pass DOT drug screening if required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workload and productivity of warehouse operations including Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Packing, and Shipping.
• Accurately fill customer orders following established processes.
• Assist in local deliveries when needed.
• Release, prioritize, and determine special requirements for orders.
• Understand diverse procedures to provide hands-on assistance.
• Aid in inventory restocking and shipping to ensure smooth DC operations.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety rules.
• Maintain accurate inventory quantities and quality while pulling products.

What You’ll Do

• Manage daily workload and productivity of warehouse operations including Receiving, Order Fulfillment, Packing, and Shipping
• Accurately fill customer orders following established operational processes
• Assist in local deliveries when the need arises
• Release, prioritize, and determine any special requirements needed for customer orders
• Understand and comprehend a variety of operational procedures, some area specific, to provide hands‑on assistance where needed
• Aid in inventory restocking and shipping areas to ensure seamless distribution center processes
• Safely operate all warehouse equipment and obey all safety rules
• Help maintain accurate distribution center inventory quantity and quality while pulling product; restocks order fulfillment supplies as needed
• Follow all housekeeping procedures; maintain clean and organized warehouse

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to quickly learn specific software to successfully fulfill order fulfillment expectations
• Must make safety a priority.
• Must be a highly detailed individual with a focus on accuracy.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a well‑organized team player who can relate to employees at all levels of an organization.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to obtain coverage through company's auto insurance carrier according to company Driver Safety Policy.
• Must obtain DOT Physical
• Must pass DOT drug screening if required

• Must possess strong leadership skills and have ability to manage stress levels of a busy operation
