Job summary

Packer Fastener in Kansas City (Lenexa, KS) is seeking a Full-Time Driver for our Kansas City Branch. 1st Shift option, with no holidays or weekend work, focusing on safe delivery of materials to customers and branches.

You will load/unload, verify delivery accuracy, and maintain a neat vehicle and professional appearance. As part of our team, you’ll follow safety standards and DOT requirements while providing excellent service to customers and colleagues across locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain DOT Fed Med Card and pass drug test if required.
• Familiarity with delivery territory.
• Highly detailed with a focus on accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well-organized team player who can relate to employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a driving record in good standing and is courteous to others on the road.
• Load/Unload all material safely and efficiently.
• Verify accuracy of materials delivered to customer.
• Ensure branch orders are delivered to correct branch locations on time.
• Operate company vehicles safely while delivering materials to customers and other branches.

Primary Duties

• Maintains a driving record in good standing and is courteous to others on the road
• Load/Unload all material with or without moving equipment in a safe manner accordance with company policy
• Verify accuracy of materials delivered to customer
• Ensures all branch orders are delivered to correct branch location to ensure all orders are delivered on-time
• Operates company owned and leased vehicles safely in delivering materials to customers and other branches
• Makes deliveries on time as scheduled
• Maintains vehicle in neat and clean condition; observes traffic laws
• Maintains neat appearance; always remains courteous and serviced-minded in dealing with customers
• Practices good housekeeping and health & safety standards within department; abides by OSHA regulations
• Completes daily maintenance inspection
• Reports operating problems or maintenance needs to Fleet Manager or Branch Manager
• Follows proper procedures in reporting accidents
• Maintains a safe work environment for all employees
• Assumes other employee responsibilities when required; may perform other duties as assigned
