Job summary

Sentry Insurance is seeking a Senior Operations Technician to support commercial lines operational and underwriting processes from our Stevens Point, WI office. You will handle a range of policy transactions under guidelines, assisting underwriting, claims, sales producers, and agents while ensuring proper documentation and regulatory-compliant records.

In this role you will respond to information requests, maintain policy data, process certificates of insurance, and support renewal

Responsibilities

• Provide operations support including new/renewal transactions and policy updates.
• Provide general administrative support and participate in process improvement or audits.

Job description

This position can be filled working out of Sentry's Stevens Point, WI office.

The Operations Technician Senior will support commercial lines (CL) operational and underwriting processes within guidelines by handling a variety of basic to moderately complex policy transactions that support the review and acceptance/decline of new or renewal CL business.

This team member assists on behalf of underwriting claims, sales producers, and agents, compiles and/or shares policy and coverage for assigned lines of business and customers. They will ensure proper documentation and records management according to regulatory and Sentry standards.

What You'll Do

• Respond to internal and external information requests, including email and phone inquiries. Effectively explain plan details and/or processing requirements

• Document and maintain customer policy information. Gathers necessary data from various sources, reviews data for accuracy and ensures appropriate resolution Ensures data meet company standards for compliance and quality

• Processes and releases policy documentation, such as certificates of insurance, to customers and/or authorized parties; documents all activities in internal systems

• Provide operations support, including processing of new and renewal transactions and policy updates

• Provides general administrative support, which may include, but is not limited to, participating in process improvement projects and quality audits.

What it Takes

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; Associate Degree preferred

• Experience supporting commercial lines insurance operations preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and in writing

• Ability to interact with others and work in a team environment

• Organizational skills and ability to meet service standards and deadlines
