This position is a HOME SITE remote role that requires the candidate to be located in and around Sterling, CO, including Burdett, Fleming, Huxton, Holyoke, Yuma, Otis, Akron, or Ft. Brush, CO.

As an Operations Technician, your responsibilities will include reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, maintaining facility equipment safely, and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits, compliance, accurate record-keeping, and a focus on safety are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with team members to resolve technical or operational issues.
  • Follow company policies and apply proper operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Adhere to safety and operational requirements to protect community, personnel, environment, and assets.
  • Maintain knowledge of site operations, equipment, permits, and compliance standards.
  • Complete reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of operations and maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED and at least three years of experience as an operations technician or similar role.
  • Preferred: Associates degree or technical certification with at least two years of relevant experience in oil and gas operations.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Work in extreme temperatures, loud environments, and confined spaces.
  • Lift items up to 50 lbs; team lift heavier loads.
  • Stand, walk, climb, and work at heights using PPE.
Work Hours and Travel:
  • Availability for after-hours, on-call, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Overtime, long shifts, and travel between sites with occasional overnight stays may be required.
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and safety skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, process control systems, and PLCs.
