Job summary

Williams Companies is seeking an Operations Technician I, II, and/or III to support pipeline operations in Opal, WY. The role involves reading drawings, maintaining facility equipment, and analyzing data to resolve technical issues.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years in a similar role; associates degree and oil/gas experience are preferred. Responsibilities include following safety procedures, maintaining records, and supporting after-hours shifts and travel

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years as an operations technician or similar role.
• Preferred: Associate or 2-year technical degree and 2+ years in multifaceted operations technician roles in oil and gas.
• Two years of oil & gas production, pipeline, midstream, or related energy operations experience preferred.
• Candidates from diverse backgrounds may be considered with growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations; read/interpreting drawings and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Analyze data and collaborate to resolve technical or operational problems.
• Follow company policies and operating procedures; maintain accurate records and reports.
• Gain knowledge of site/equipment permits and ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Complete reports, logs, and preventive maintenance records; assist in other duties as assigned.
