Job summary

Lipton Teas and Infusions in Suffolk, VA is hiring an Operations Technician for 2nd or 3rd shift. Starting pay is $25.33 per hour, with work on Primary and Secondary Tea Packaging equipment, conveyors, and palletizing systems.

The technician reports to the Production Supervisor and handles changeovers, troubleshooting, and autonomous maintenance within the Autonomous Maintenance pillar. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, clear communication, and problem-solving under safety and quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2+ years operations experience.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 50lbs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Report unsafe acts and conditions, correct if possible.
• All job functions are to be performed in compliance with the plant’s safety and quality assurance programs.
• Always puts Safety first when considering an improvement to current/new equipment or process changes.
• Must achieve qualification level and completion of all training modules associated with assigned equipment.
• Coach and train teams on problem solving and troubleshooting techniques according to Unilever/WCM Standards.
• Design and implement training program for operators on technical and quality training.
• Understand Plant KPI requirements and fosters/drives teams to meet those requirements using WCM Tools/Techniques.
• Accountable for high performance standards and able to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and able to be a link with External parties.
• Able to participate in the development of training material for next steps in the WCM Process.
• Must be a high performer/technically capable and self-directed in current/previous role.
• Prepare assigned areas for sanitation audits and tours.
• Complete all other assigned duties.

TheOperations Technicianis responsible foroperatingand maintaining production assets within the factory. This includes Primary and Secondary Tea Packaging equipment as well as associated Conveyors and Palletizing equipment.

Job Description:

The Operations Technician reports to the Production Supervisor.The Operations Technician is responsible for all change over, troubleshooting and defined Autonomous Maintenance activities.
