Job summary

The MSD Malaysia Worthington facility in Minnesota is seeking a Technician – Animal Health Facility to support biologics production using fermentation and cell culture platforms, as well as filling and freeze-drying processes.

Key duties include preparing media, operating fermentation vessels, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, training across day, afternoon, and overnight shifts, and ensuring cGMP compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology or related field preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test.
• Working knowledge of cGMP, aseptic technique, fermentation and fermentation vessels.
• 2+ years manufacturing work experience preferred.
• Experience with vaccine production and related quality control activities.

We are expanding operations at the Worthington facility in Minnesota to manufacture vaccines for large and companion animals. This Technician position supports biologics production using fermentation and cell culture platforms and filling and freeze‑drying processes. Responsibilities include preparation of intermediate components (media solutions, working seed stocks and bacterial antigens) and downstream processing of the intermediate components.
