Job summary

Uniper SE seeks a Shift Operations Technician to manage day-to-day operations at a gas-fired power station in the UK. You will support maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to safe, compliant operations while driving performance to high standards.

The role requires knowledge of electrical generation processes, HV and high-pressure systems, and the ability to work with multiskilled teams. Senior Authorised Person status is a plus and a related engineering degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical generation processes and safety awareness.
• Experience with high voltage generators and high-pressure systems is desirable.
• HNC/HND or engineering degree; Senior Authorized Person preferred.
• Root cause analysis and incident investigation skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day operational requirements of the Power Station.
• Perform corrective and planned maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and support root cause analysis.
• Support Shift Team Leader in managing incidents or emergencies.
• Drive plant performance to world-class standards.

As Shift Operations Technician in the Enfield, Grain and Taylors Lane organisation you will be responsible for the Day to Day Operations of one of the most efficient Gas fired Power Stations in the UK, ensuring SHE compliance and high performance of the asset. Your responsibilities

• You will carry out the day to day operational requirements of the Power Station.
• You will carry out corrective maintenance and planned maintenance activities.
• You will be expected to diagnose faults and support with root cause analysis
• You must be capable of supporting the Shift Team Leader in Managing an Incident or Emergency
• You will drive the plants performance to achieve world class standards.

Good knowledge of the processes associated with Electrical Generation

Good commercial skills and an understanding of the Electrical Generation Industry Awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance. Ability to work across multiskilled teams. Desirable: Root cause analysis and incident investigation Mechanical or EC&I craft skill. HNC /HND or Degree in a related Engineering subject. Senior Authorized Person. Experience at working with High Voltage Electrical Generators and High Pressure systems.
