Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a Warehouse Operator, Operations Team Member, or other warehouse role.
  • Prior experience operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE), including FLT, is preferred.
  • Prior experience using standard logistics software, including SAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Picking: locate material on the picklist and input data into Smartsheet to track orders.
  • Packing: audit each shipment and ensure every line is accounted for; document discrepancies.
  • Processing: ensure shipments are fully processed before booking and attach packing lists.
  • Move booked pallets to the proper staging area and place a blue cone on booked pallets.
  • Perform hygiene duties and maintain a clean work environment.

Job description

Working as part of a team, the Operations Team Member – Outbound will be responsible for the picking, packing, and processing of material for the Company.

Key Responsibilities
Picking
  • Locate material detailed on the picklist.
  • Troubleshoot any material that cannot be located.
  • Input data into the Smartsheet application to track the status of pending orders and material.
  • Confirm each line in the order. When needed, review and confirm discrepancies with the Supervisor.
  • Account for every line, including:
    • Overages
    • Shortages
    • Units of Measure (UoM)
    • NILs
    • Consumption errors
    • Confirmation failures
    • Batch issues
  • Enter all applicable discrepancies and information into Smartsheet for tracking.
  • Document completion. All unfinished Production and Outbound work orders must be noted and submitted at the end of the day.
  • Ensure all material and documentation are cleared from carts.
  • During picking, remove empty vendor boxes and trash from bin locations to help prevent NILs resulting from misplaced material.
  • Perform hygiene duties, including emptying trash bins and sweeping aisles to maintain a clean work environment.
Packing
  • Audit each shipment before packing.
  • Ensure every line in the order is accounted for.
  • Document any discrepancies and provide them to the Supervisor for review and further instruction.
  • Provide accurate weights and dimensions for every order, including both small and large shipments.
  • Systemically pack orders in blue MM only when the order is complete and contains no deviations or discrepancies.
  • Orders with issues must be systemically packed and PGI'd by a Processor after all issues have been resolved by a Supervisor.
  • Ensure packed orders are placed on the designated pallet.
  • When a pallet is full, move it to the designated staging area for Processors.
  • Ensure a green cone is placed on each full pallet to indicate that the pallet has been systemically packed and is awaiting PGI.
  • Perform hygiene duties, including emptying trash bins and sweeping aisles to maintain a clean work environment.
Processing
  • Take responsibility for every shipment on the pallet assigned to the designated processing area.
  • Prior to booking, ensure every shipment has been PGI'd .
  • Ensure no shipment leaves the warehouse until it has been fully processed.
  • Ensure packing lists are printed for each shipment and properly attached.
  • Use color-coded paper for each Processor to identify the shipment they are working on, PGI'd, or booked.
  • Attach packing lists to outside crates as required.
  • Document discrepancies identified during or prior to booking on the provided OBD Processing Error Form .
  • Send the required email notification and notify the Supervisor before placing the shipment on the issue rack for troubleshooting.
  • After booking, provide a cover sheet containing:
    • Booking number
    • Pallet count and description
    • OBD list associated with the booking
    • Processor's name
    • Date
  • Move the booked pallet to the proper staging area for auditing.
  • Place a blue cone on the pallet to indicate that it has been booked.
  • Perform hygiene duties, including emptying trash bins and sweeping aisles to maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven working experience as a Warehouse Operator, Operations Team Member, or other warehouse role .
  • Prior experience operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) , including FLT, is preferred.
  • Prior experience using standard logistics software, including SAP .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Additional Requirements
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the postholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by their Supervisor, Logistics Operations Manager, or Senior Logistics Operations Manager from time to time, subject to adequate experience and/or training.
  • Participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective-setting process.
  • Work in accordance with all company policies, including Health & Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality, and Environmental policies.
