Job summary

Clean Harbors Deer Park, TX (Houston, TX) is seeking an Operations Support Intern for our Summer 2027 Internship Program. You will shadow District Administrators, provide administrative and project support, and learn how branch operations run in Industrial Services.

This full-time internship is not eligible for remote work. Some travel to branch or field locations may be required. Start dates: May 17 or May 24, 2027, and the program runs through August.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in learning about business operations and Industrial Services.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with administrative teams, field employees, operations leaders, and customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel to branch or field locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Shadow District Administrators to learn the administrative processes that support Industrial Services branch and field operations.
• Provide administrative and project support to District Administrators and local branch teams.
• Assist with customer and branch questions, documentation, and administrative follow-up.
• Gain exposure to customer billing, purchase orders, invoicing, reporting, and other operational processes.
• Assist with tracking and resolving administrative items while learning when and how issues are escalated.
• Support branch initiatives, customer projects, events, and process improvements as needed.
• Assist with organizing information and reporting used to support operational and financial processes.
• Gain exposure to employee onboarding, training requirements, and internal systems and processes.
• Participate in Clean Harbors Internship Program networking and professional development activities.
• Complete and present a final internship project at the conclusion of the program.

Clean Harbors Deer Park, TX (Houston, TX) is looking for an Operations Support Intern to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program. Supporting HPC Industrial or Thompson Industrial, both powered by Clean Harbors, this internship provides hands‑on experience with the administrative and business operations that support our field teams, customers, and Industrial Services branches.

The Operations Support Intern will work closely with experienced District Administrators, providing support while shadowing day‑to‑day processes and learning how administrative teams help keep branch operations running effectively and efficiently.
