Job summary

Pine Lake Corn Processors (PLCP) in Central Iowa is hiring for an Operations Support role at the Pine Lake facility. The position involves loading ETOH and DDGS rail cars, yard engine operation, and general ground maintenance.

A key objective is obtaining a Conductors/Engineer license with the Iowa River Railroad for rail car movement. The successful candidate will assist with inspections, plant maintenance shutdowns, and safety training while upholding company policies and customer-facing

Qualifications

• FRA training to obtain Conductors/Engineer license with the Iowa River Railroad.
• Ability to communicate information or ideas effectively in written or oral form.
• Ability to organize, deal with change effectively, and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
• Possess math skills when performing basic operations.
• Must be able to work safely in difficult environments, IE: catwalks and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate, clean and maintain equipment.
• Loading of ETOH and DDGS rail cars.
• Operating yard engine for moving/spotting rail cars within the Pine Lake Corn Processors industry siding.
• Operate skid loader, telehandler, forklift, wheel loaders, lawnmowers, weed trimmers and man lifts for material handling, snow removal, road sweeping, loading of DDGS, building cleaning, ground maintenance, etc.
• Assist with weekly and monthly facility inspections.
• Assist with the cleaning of grain bins and other areas of the facility.
• Assist Operations during maintenance shutdowns, power outages and other circumstances that prohibit optimal plant operation.
• Participate in safety and job-related training programs.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and conduct.
• Create a positive, professional image to customers and community.
• Accept and carry out other assigned duties as given by supervisor.

Pine Lake Corn Processors (PLCP) located in Central Iowa, is currently recruiting for a position in Operations Support. PLCP is a subsidiary of Innovative Ag Services, Co. This fulltime position will be located at the Pine Lake facility.

Primary Objective:

The loading of ETOH rail cars, DDGS cars and trucks as well as ground maintenance and various support tasks. Obtaining a Conductor/Engineer license with the Iowa River Railroad for the movement of rail cars to and from the Ackley siding.

Major Accountabilities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Adaptability

• Requires static strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds. Also, flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Also, trunk strength and ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time. Some tasks involve repetitive motion.
• Agricultural Environment - Exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agriculture products.
• Personal Protective Equipment may be required for some tasks.
