Operational since 2001, Dakota Ethanol in Wentworth, SD produces 100 million gallons of ethanol annually and more production is under construction. In addition to ethanol production, the facility also produces distillers grains and distillers corn oil supporting local livestock producers and contributing to the renewable diesel industry.
Owned and operated by Lake Area Corn Processors LLC, comprised of more than 1,000 members, primarily South Dakota farmers, Dakota Ethanol is deeply rooted in the community. The company is committed to being a strong local partner, a key driver of the regional economy, and a leader in South Dakota’s ethanol industry.
The Commodities Operator is responsible for loading ethanol and distiller grains into rail cars and trucks, scale operation, and housekeeping of the loading and receiving facilities. The commodities operator will use mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, scales, meters and computers for timely and accurate loading.
