Operations Supervisor - Warehouse (Supply Chain/Logistics) - 1st Shift

Join Penske Logistics as an Operations Supervisor - Warehouse (Supply Chain/Logistics) - 1st Shift.

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:00 pm (flexible based on business needs)

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 annually + performance bonus up to 12%

Role Overview

The Operations Supervisor provides leadership at a single warehouse location, overseeing staff to meet customer requirements and company goals. Responsibilities include supervising daily operations, managing staff, ensuring safety, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 60+ associates, fostering a positive environment through coaching and team building.
• Supervise logistics operations including freight handling, customer service, and documentation.
• Manage workforce scheduling, conduct team meetings, and implement process improvements.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct safety observations.
• Monitor performance metrics, manage attendance, and provide coaching.
• Handle disciplinary actions and participate in hiring processes.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience in logistics or warehouse management.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage change.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with inventory management systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Visual acuity for close and distance vision.
