Job Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, planning, prioritizing, and aligning resources for all processes related to inbound deliveries, stock placement, stock replenishment, and outbound shipping at the Distribution Center in Sparks, MD. This role involves managing hourly associates, utilizing SAP real-time transactional data for workload balancing, and ensuring on-time, defect-free shipping to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities include monitoring warehouse activities, analyzing reports to meet productivity goals, and interacting effectively with internal and external departments. The role requires quick adaptation to dynamic plans, contingency planning, and supporting Business Continuity and Risk Management.

The supervisor will support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and validation projects, investigate customer complaints for root causes, and optimize SAP Warehouse Management System data. They will identify opportunities for organizational capability enhancement and help set productivity and performance goals.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough understanding of warehousing, shipping, and transportation functions.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to influence change across functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Alignment with BD values, customer focus, results orientation, effective communication, and collaborative feedback seeking.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Manufacturing/Process Engineering preferred.

Experience:

• At least two years of experience in warehousing or logistics with proven leadership and results-driven record.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems like SAP or similar systems preferred.
