Job summary

Bridges International in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the facilities team at Turning Point Bridge. You will train, supervise, and schedule staff, oversee inmate populations, and ensure safety and compliance with company policies.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, at least four years’ experience in services to residents or inmates, and may substitute a Bachelor’s degree for two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• Four years of experience delivering services to residents, offenders or inmates in the care, custody, or supervision of a federal, state or local criminal justice system.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and schedule all operations staff.
• Supervise inmate population, including meals, work periods, visitation, and furloughs.
• Conduct intake on inmates when necessary.
• Evaluate all operations staff after probationary period, and then annually thereafter.
• Organize and facilitate staff meetings with operations staff at least monthly.
• Implement security and operation policies and procedures as mandated by The Company.
• Ensure safety and welfare of inmates, staff and visitors.
• Delegate responsibility for the operation and security of the center.
• Ensure all counts are conducted according to written policy.
• Facilitate safety and emergency procedures as set by The Company standards.
• Conduct written facilities inspections required by The Company standards.
• Participate in monthly department head meetings with the Facility Director and weekly clinical staff meetings
• Supervise The Company required operations department documentation and operations data entry on WRIMS.

Report all unsafe conditions that could affect clients/inmates or employees which you become aware of to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director immediately.21. To be eligible for promotion you must demonstrate organizational abilities and must have good written and oral communication skills.22. Ensure that all applicable policies and procedures that fall within the scope of this job description are followed and adhered to.23. Attend Department Head meetings as directed.24. Inspect facility and grounds daily and document on appropriate form.25.
