Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a results-driven professional to support the Branch Manager in achieving financial objectives and ensuring policy compliance. You will drive branch metrics, coach staff, process quotations and contracts, and help deliver world-class service and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in sales/operations, 2+ years in leadership, strong customer focus, and solid MS Office skills. This role is safety-sensitive and offers opportunities across the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of sales and operational experience.
• 2+ years supervision and leadership experience.
• Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or related.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with all company policies.
• Drive branch metrics by monitoring scorecard items, providing coaching and feedback to staff.
• Support all aspects of sales and customer service to ensure world class service and operational excellence, including processing rental quotations, reservations and contracts.
• Maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency by ensuring staff is trained and compliant with the Rental Flow Process; monitor and control costs.
• May be responsible for day-to-day operational activities including opening/closing, cash reconciliation and bank deposits.
• Motivate, coach and train personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, accountability and communication.

What you'll do:

• Support Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives
• Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with all company policies
• Drive branch metrics by monitoring scorecard items, determining root causes and opportunities for improvement and providing coaching and feedback to staff, making recommendations for corrective actions
• Support all aspects of sales and customer service to ensure world class service and operational excellence, including processing rental quotations, reservations and contracts in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency by ensuring that staff is trained and compliant with the Rental Flow Process; drive profitability by monitoring and controlling costs
• May be responsible for day-to-day operational activities including opening and closing, cash drawer reconciliation and bank deposit, and others
• Motivate, coach and train personnel
• Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication
• Other duties assigned as needed

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
