Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a proactive Venue Operations Manager to coordinate event bookings, oversee daily venue operations, and lead operations staff. The role requires strong organization, initiative, and a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; one year facilities operations experience preferred.
  • Completion of facilities management or sports management courses is a plus.
  • Current driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily venue operations including event setup, breakdown, and safety compliance.
  • Supervise and schedule operations staff, ensuring coverage for all events.
  • Conduct pre-event walkthroughs and post-event inspections to maintain standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support event logistics and resolve issues.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of supplies for venue operations.

THE ROLE

The primary responsibilities are to book and develop events and manage event files. Candidate must be an initiative-taker, highly motivated, extremely organized and have a great personality.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily venue operations including event setup, breakdown, and general maintenance to ensure smooth execution and safety compliance
  • Supervise and schedule operations staff, including custodial, maintenance, and event support teams, ensuring proper coverage for all events
  • Conduct pre-event walkthroughs and post-event inspections to maintain facility standards and identify any repairs or improvements needed
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., events, security, guest services) to support overall event logistics and resolve operational issues
  • Manage inventory and procurement of supplies, equipment, and materials needed for venue operations
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all operational procedures align with local regulations and company policies
Supervisory Responsibilities

Employee will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Scheduling of employees and payroll data input.

Education
Education and/or Experience
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of facilities operations experience.
  • Completion of facilities management courses or sports management courses is considered a strong plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current driver’s license is required.
Skills And Abilities
  • Read and interpret documents, procedure manuals, floor plans, assignment sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for all areas of the department.
  • Possess any licenses, certificates or training required by company, local, state, or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility in all areas of the department.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the practice and procedures related to all areas of custodial, event set up, tear down & change overs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge or willing to learn in the practice and procedures related to ice installation, preparation, and maintenance; typical methods and techniques for maintaining, repairing, and building ice; and treatment of water and hydraulic equipment.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for all the types of events anticipated at the facility.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, tenants, and others encountered in the course of employment.
