Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Processing Ops Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and drive efficiency on a 4/10 weekend schedule (Thu–Sun) at our Brea, CA site. You will manage hiring, training and staffing, plan resources, ensure SOP and regulatory compliance, and monitor KPIs to improve quality and throughput.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate workflow in a specific operational area, including weekend shifts.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff to ensure productivity.
• Plan and allocate tasks and resources to meet production goals.
• Monitor processes to ensure SOP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure products meet established quality standards and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Track KPIs, prepare reports on output, attendance, and incidents, and use data to make informed decisions.
• Address employee issues and take appropriate corrective action where needed.
• Identify bottlenecks, operational issues, or inefficiencies and implement solutions.
• Act as a liaison between management and frontline staff, conducting briefings and ensuring smooth information flow.
• Flex employees across different areas to ensure proper HC and overtime levels.
• Attend Gemba walks with management to expand concern.

Responsibilities

A Processing Ops Supervisor oversees daily operational activities, manages teams, ensures process compliance, and drives efficiency and quality in production or service delivery. Please note, this is a 4/10's weekend shift - Thursday through Sunday.

Core Responsibilities

Responsible forsupervising and coordinating the workflowwithin a specific operational area, such as Lube, DeOil, DryBlast, Parts Wash, Chemical, Cytal, Heat Treat plus other areas operating on weekend. Key duties include:

• Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure productivity and adequate staffing levels
• Planning and allocating tasks and resources to meet production goals
• Monitoring operational processes to ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring products or services meet established quality standards and customer expectations, implementing corrective actions when necessary
• Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing reports on output, attendance, and incidents, and using data to make informed decisions
• Address employee issues and take appropriate corrective action where needed
• Identifying bottlenecks, operational issues, or inefficiencies and implementing solutions to improve processes and reduce waste or risk
• Acting as a liaison between management and frontline staff, conducting briefings, and ensuring smooth information flow regarding priorities, safety, and operational changes
• Flex employees across different areas to ensure proper HC is allocated in bottle neck areas and ensure proper level of overtime are assigned to meet department goals
• Attend Gemba walks with management team to expand concern

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field preferred
• 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing at least 20+ employees in a manufacturing setting including performance management responsibility
• Organizational and planning skillsto coordinate resources and workflows under dynamic conditions
• Technical knowledgerelevant to the specific operational area, such as production processes, equipment, or service protocols
• Compliance awarenessto ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Salary Range:

The base pay range for this position in California, $100,000 - $130,000/year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
