Located in The Navy Yard in Philadelphia, Rhoads offers extensive shipyard facilities and over 300,000 sq. ft. of heavy manufacturing space. The Operations Supervisor oversees daily operations within the manufacturing or industrial facility, ensuring production goals are met efficiently, safely, and within quality standards. Responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating across departments, and implementing process improvements. This is a non-union role requiring flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily operations for efficiency and compliance
• Enforce safety protocols and manage parts and component logistics
• Ensure product quality and address defects
• Supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and resolve conflicts
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Prepare operational reports and maintain documentation
• Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards

Qualifications:

• High School/GED required; technical or engineering training preferred
• 1+ years supervisory experience, preferably in shipyard or construction environments
• Experience in ship fitting, welding, fabrication is highly preferred
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; certifications like Lean, Six Sigma, OSHA are a plus
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings

Work Environment & Benefits:
