Job summary

MMT Ambulance is seeking an experienced EMS Operations Supervisor for the night shift to lead operational activities and mentor staff. The role combines hands-on pre-hospital care with supervision, ensuring policy compliance and timely documentation.

The ideal candidate has EMT or Paramedic certification (NREMT acceptable for reciprocity), strong leadership, and superb communication skills to coordinate field teams and ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • State EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure or NREMT with reciprocity ability.
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely submission of timesheets and payroll documentation.
  • Lead and train lower-level personnel and/or students as assigned.
  • Deliver competent patient care in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
  • Assist with hiring via ATS to screen and select candidates.
  • Maintain adherence to field policies, procedures, and required paperwork.
  • Document EMS charts, PCRs, vehicle inspections, and inventory checks.
  • Ensure equipment cleanliness and restock supplies.
  • Attend continuing education and refresher courses as required.
  • Promote teamwork and accountability within the department.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about developing others, and are committed to excellence in emergency medical services, we invite you to join a team where your leadership makes a difference every day.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure timely submission of timesheets and other payroll documentationLead, guide, and assist in training lower-level personnel and/or students as assignedDeliver competent patient care in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings within the scope of practiceAssist with hiring by utilizing Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to screen and select potential candidatesEnsure adherence to field policies and processes, timely completion of required paperwork, and proper use of systemsMaintain professional interactions with healthcare personnel and patients, including those with disabilities or injuriesAccurately document required information in EMS charts, including PCRs, vehicle inspections, and inventory checksEnsure cleanliness of equipment and replace used or damaged suppliesAdhere to company and local agency policies, procedures, and protocols for emergency treatment and transportationAttend refresher programs and continuing education sessions as required by the medical directorMaintain a professional, courteous, ethical demeanor, collaborate effectively within a team environmentMaintains knowledge of, implements, and enforces departmental policies, procedures, and protocolSafely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in compliance with relevant laws during patient transportationProvide Lift Assist and demand truck deployment as neededQualifications:Current CPR certification required.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Current state EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure, or National Registry (NREMT) certification with the ability to obtain state reciprocity prior to the start date.Ability to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and perform effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, coworkers, leadership, and other stakeholders.Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety regulations, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and written or verbal reports.Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to promote teamwork and accountability.Physical Demands:Must be physically capable of operating various vehicles and equipment essential to the job duties of an EMS provider.Ability to push and pull objects exceeding 50 pounds.Must be able to sit, ride, or drive in an ambulance for extended periods while maintaining attention and responsiveness.Ability to perform physically demanding work in fast-paced and unpredictable environments, including emergency situations.Must be able to effectively manage the physical and emotional demands associated with providing patient care and emergency response services.Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and move patients and equipment in a variety of environments.What We Offer:We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, well-being, and financial future.
