Job summary

North State, an MMT Ambulance Company, is seeking compassionate, dedicated part-time EMTs to join our team. You will provide basic life support, operate emergency vehicles, and deliver patient care across transport and clinical settings.

You will apply EMS protocols, communicate with patients and healthcare staff, document care in the electronic charting system, assist colleagues, and maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness. A current EMT certification and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

  • Current EMT certification (state-specific requirements apply).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate EMS equipment and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic life support (BLS) within the EMT scope of practice.
  • Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles per regulations.
  • Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in transport and clinical settings.
  • Apply EMS protocols and procedures in practical situations.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families and healthcare personnel.
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic charting system.
  • Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports.
  • Maintain equipment, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and restock supplies.
