Operations Supervisor (IDS)

Position Overview:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and cost-effective use of facility equipment and labor. Ensure all staff comply with company policies of superior service and satisfaction, while maintaining compliance with all company and government rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of daily operations, providing leadership and coaching to enhance safety, performance, maintenance, flight operations, facility requirements, and customer service at the deicing location.
2. Assist the General Manager and/or Operations Manager with station audits.
3. Provide information for airline deicing reports and handle airline and FAA inquiries as required.
4. Ensure aircraft are deiced properly and airline manual requirements are met.
5. Communicate airline manual updates and coordinate investigations of security issues and accidents with management.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years experience in airport/airline operations or a similar industry, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
2. College degree or equivalent professional experience.
3. Completion of IDS de/anti-icing training programs.
4. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
5. Valid driver's license.

Work Environment:

• Office environment with potential for extended sitting.
• Continuous use of computer and peripherals.
• Warehouse setting involving physical activity, exposure to noise, odors, and varying temperatures.
• Outdoor environment with exposure to weather, dust, fumes, and moving vehicles.
• Potential hazards inherent in airport operations, mitigated by training and safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 55 pounds, not exceeding 75 pounds.
• Exposure to airport hazards, managed through safety protocols.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as squatting, kneeling, bending, and stretching.
